The historic Johnson County Courthouse is rededicated on December 1, 2007, after a 2-year restoration project. 

The present Courthouse is the fifth building to serve the citizens of Johnson County as the center of county government.  Begun in the fall of 1912 and completed thirteen months later.  The previous courthouse had burned on April 15, 1912, the same day theTitanic sunk.
